Elite has launched an international design competition open to all creators and designers. Registrations are now open.
Building on the success of the first edition and on the continuous search for novelties, Elite aims to promote creation and innovation in the field of high-end bedding thus organising the second edition of an annual international design competition, whose winning design will be put on display at the Milan Design Week 2019./p>
With more than 200 candidates, the first edition was a great success. Candidates from around the world participated and imagined some incredible and outstanding projects. From innovation to tradition using all sorts of technology, the candidates astounded the jury of professionals. The three winning creations answered Elite's challenges with solutions combining inventiveness, aesthetics, design, tradition and comfort.
For this 2nd edition, the Haute Couture Bed is the chosen theme. The objective is to take a new look at traditional codes by focusing on the overall user experience as well as aesthetics and attention to detail. With the Elite Design Award 2019, Elite wishes, once again, to demonstrate its commitment to innovation values. The specific desire here is to change the traditional codes of the high-end bed. This competition is expected to boost creation and introduce new concepts combining design, craftsmanship and comfort, the Elite signature. The 2018 edition allowed young designers to work with the brand and to market one of their creations, the Arco bed.
Registrations for the 2019 edition are open from September 10 until November 1, 2018
