Taking good care of your bedding

TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOUR BEDDING

During the first few months of use, make sure to properly maintain your mattress as the flexible filling materials will stabilize and mold to the shape of your body. To accelerate their stabilization, you can flip the mattress from head to foot every two weeks during the first month, then once every three months. Certain mattresses are climate controlled, meaning that they have different padding on the winter and summer sides. If you have this type of mattress, do not forget to turn it over in October and April. Elite recommends using a washable mattress protector. We also recommend vacuuming your mattress when the sheets are changed to remove dust, debris and mites. You can also beat the mattress to ventilate it. When you turn your mattress, turn it from front to back but also from head to foot, and make sure to turn it regularly.

PROTECT YOUR BEDDING

At a minimum, keep your mattress covered with a sheet and always with a mattress protector that can be washed in hot water. This prevents premature wearing of the ticking and protects the mattress from stains due to perspiration or incontinence.

Regular maintenance of your bedding – both your box spring and mattress – ensures that you will enjoy an average of ten years of excellent use.

To prolong the life of your mattress and benefit from all its support qualities, it is essential to place it on a suitable box spring or foundation.

CLEANING

Small stains on the Magnolia and Coquelicot mattress toppers can be completely removed or neutralized by dry cleaning.

Cleaning mattresses and the Orchidée and Gentiane mattress toppers with water is not recommended because it could affect the height and the properties of the padding. Difficult stains require the ticking and padding to be replaced. Your ELITE product advisor can help you select the best option.
Lotus mattress toppers and all duvets can be washed at home or by a professional cleaner. To guarantee the best possible result and preserve the properties of your products, we recommend that you carefully follow the care instructions on the label. For hygiene and comfort reasons, we recommend that you replace your pillows every 3 years and your duvets every 5 years.

ELITE cannot be held responsible for shrinking or damage due to cleaning. .
