1. Headache/Stiff Neck
Tension in the neck muscles is often aggravated by a poor sleeping position which leads to headaches and blockages in the back of the neck.

2. Fibrositis
Poor posture in bed leads to tension in the back and shoulder muscles. Excess pressure worsens the pain in the shoulders.

3. Backache
Pain and stiffness are often aggravated if the mattress forces the spinal column to take on an unnatural position. Poor support in the base of the back leads to lower back pain.

4. Painful Joints and Hips
A hard mattress can accentuate pain in the hips and lead to discomfort and inflammation of the joints. Pressure exerted on tissues reduces blood circulation and is not conducive to cellular regeneration.

5. Achy Knees
Pressure exerted on the joints increases pain in the knees and does not ease the sensation of heavy legs.

6. Circulation Problems
These often show up as a swelling of the feet during the night, pain and numbness in the calves. The mattress must be sufficiently flexible to ease the contact pressure which reduces blood flow.

Upper and Lower Back Pain
Pain and spasms are often aggravated at night if the mattress forces the body to adopt poor postures.

Rheumatism
It is often amplified by poor posture in bed, causing muscular and joint tensions in the back and shoulder.

Arm Pain
It is often caused by inflammation of the nerves in the neck and intensified by poor posture.

Sciatica
A poor bed often amplifies sciatic pain which propagates to the rear of the thigh and calf towards the foot.
