Consequently, it was quite natural for ELITE to become involved in this endeavor and offer its customers the security of the European ECOLABEL certification.

Created in 1992, the European Ecolabel is the only official European ecological label available in all the member countries of the European Union. This Europe-wide ecological certification is based on the principle of a “global approach that takes into consideration the product life cycle from the extraction of the raw materials, the production, the distribution, and the utilization until its recycling or its disposal after use.” Product quality and product use are equally important. The Ecolabel is reserved for products that are “kindest to the environment.” Its criteria guarantee the suitability of the products and a reduction of their environmental impacts throughout their life cycle. The Ecolabel takes both the product and its packaging into consideration.
At ELITE, we scrupulously select our partner suppliers in order to ensure that they are also committed to the Ecolabel’s principles. Each supplier follows its particular sector’s recommendations and guarantees, through the different industry certifications, and the quality and environmental impact of its raw materials supplied to ELITE.

QUALITY AND RESISTANCE TESTS
With the EU ECOLABEL, all of ELITE’s mattresses have been recognized and certified by the specialized TÜV LGA Institute in Germany. These tests show that ELITE’s products are of superior quality since, after 30,000 cycles (about 8 to 10 years of use) our mattresses showed exceptional results. On average, for the soft to medium-firm comfort mattress, the loss in firmness was between 0 and 6% of maximum firmness depending on the model.
The graphic clearly shows these results and highlights the distinct difference in the quality of ELITE’s products.

OTHER CERTIFICATIONS
